First, lay the fresh shrimp in a clean sink to season.
Second, add the onion powder, garlic powder, and Cavender's seasoning in a small bowl and mix ingredients well.
Third, sprinkle the seasoning blend on both sides of the shrimp.
Then take the butter and place into a large cast iron skillet and put on medium heat.
Once the butter has melted, place the seasoned shrimp into the skillet. Make sure that the shrimp are in a single layer. You don't want them to steam, you want them to get some color.
While the shrimp are cooking, go ahead and make the rice in the microwave. (It only takes 90 seconds and tastes GREAT!)
Once the shrimp have cooked for about 2 minutes on one side, flip them over and let them cook for another 2 minutes.
Take the rice out of the microwave package and layer on your serving dish.
Take half of the lemon and squeeze the juice onto the shrimp in the skillet.
Then, pour the shrimp and lemon, butter on top of the rice.
Finally, top with chopped green onion and serve while hot! (garlic bread would be so good with this!)
