Keto, High Protein, Low Carb Cloud Bread Recipe

Jessie Thompson
This loaf of bread is just like it sounds. It's light and fluffy like a cloud. And although I'm not going to pretend that it's exactly like regular bread in flavor and texture (it's not), I'm also not going to deny that it's delicious and different. (And sometimes on a health journey, variety is key!) Let's make this Keto, High Protein, Low Carb Cloud Bread Recipe together and see where it takes us! (And have no fear, I'm giving you easy to follow instructions and step-by-step photos for a visual reference)

Equipment

  • 1 Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper

Ingredients

  • 3 egg whites
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  • First, preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  • (To separate yolks from the whites of eggs, simply crack the egg allowing the whites to leak out into a bowl. Pass the yolk back and forth between the two broken egg shells only allowing the whites to fall into the bowl. Be careful not to break the yolk.)
  • Second, place the egg whites into your stand mixer (or use a hand mixer and a large bowl) and beat on high until they start forming stiff peaks. (You must make sure that there are no egg yolks in this mixture or it will not work.)
  • Third, slowly add the sugar to the egg white mixture while it's still beating on high.
  • Next, add the cornstarch and the vanilla to the egg white mixture while it's still beating on high.
  • Once all the ingredients are mixed well, place the egg white mixture onto a parchment-paper lined baking sheet and shape into your loaf.
  • Then take a butter knife and cut whatever design you would like into the top of the cloud bread.
  • Bake the cloud bread in a 300 degree oven for 20-25 minutes.
  • Finally, let the bread cool completely before slicing and ENJOY!
