Baking Dish
2 mixing bowls
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 cup oats
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 6 cups pitted cherries fresh or frozen
- 1/4 room temperature butter
- 1 Tablespoon cinnamon
First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Second, add the white sugar and 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour to a bowl and mix well.
Third, add the frozen or fresh pitted cherries to the sugar and flour and mix well.
Next, pour the cherry mixture into your baking dish and set aside.
Then, in a separate mixing bowl, add the oats, brown sugar, 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, cinnamon, chopped pecans, and the room temperature butter.
Using your hands, incorporate the butter throughout the dry ingredients until all of it is moistened with the butter and mixed really well and crumbly.
Take the crumble mixture and sprinkle it on top of the cherry mixture in the baking dish. Make sure that the crumble topping covers the entire dish.
Bake the cinnamon cherry crisp for 30 minutes and then let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Finally, enjoy with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream or whipped cream if you wish or eat it as is!
