Ingredients

  • 1 cup fed sourdough starter
  • 1/2 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 6-7 cups bread flour
  • 1 1/2 cups filtered water I keep a water filter in my fridge
  • 1 tablespoon salt

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, add sourdough starter.
  • Then, add melted coconut oil, honey, salt, and water.
  • Next, turn your mixer on and start adding flour.
  • You will add the flour one cup at a time to make sure that you get the right consistency.
  • Once you’ve added all of your flour, you will let the machine knead your dough for 15 minutes.
  • As the dough starts mixing and incorporating, you will see it start pulling away from the sides of the bowl a little bit.
  • Near the end of the 15 minutes, there won’t be any dough clinging to the sides of the mixing bowl.
  • Whenever the bread has been kneaded to the right consistency, it’s going to be stretchy.
  • Put it into a bowl that has been greased with coconut oil, cover with towel, and let it sit for 24 hours.
  • Divide the dough in half and place it into two greased loaf pans.
  • Let the two loaf pans of dough rise for another 12 hours.
  • Bake your bread for 30-35 minutes at 400 degrees.
