Equipment

  • 1 Large mixing bowl
  • 2 large sheet pans
  • Parchment paper

Ingredients

  • 9 cups Corn Chex cereal You can substitute wheat Chex, rice Chex, or any other kinds of Chex that you like.
  • 1 cup white cheddar Cheese crackers
  • 1 cup spicy Cheez-Its
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 cup peanuts
  • 1 cup raw whole almonds
  • 1 cup parmesan pretzel chips
  • 1 stick of salted butter melted
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cavender's seasoning

Instructions

  • First, preheat the oven to 250 degrees F.
  • Second, add the cereal, crackers, nuts, and pretzels to a large bowl and toss to combine.
  • Third, in a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and Cavender's seasoning and whisk.
  • Next, pour the melted butter mixture on top of the cereal mixture and mix really well. (I like to use gloves and do this with my hands. That way I can make sure that every piece is covered in the butter and seasonings.)
  • Then, pour the Chex Mix onto the prepared baking sheet. (I used 2 large baking sheets, but you might want to use 3 to get the mix in a single layer.)
  • Bake the Chex mix for 2 hours, tossing and stirring it every 20 minutes.
  • Finally, remove the Chex mix from the oven, let it cool, place in an airtight container and enjoy!
