How to make crispy fried onion rings
French fries are super popular as a side dish with some of our favorites like: Hamburgers and hot dogs. But I like to have some variety in my life, especially with side dishes. That’s why I want to show you how to make crispy fried onion rings. They are super crunchy, tender on the inside, full of flavor and the perfect addition for those “casual” meals by the pool or around a campfire while roasting hot dogs.
The breadcrumbs offer a delicious crunch that you just can’t get from flour alone. Sprinkle them with salt as soon as they are pulled out of the hot grease and I bet you won’t be able to wait until they are put on the table to devour them!
Let me show you how easy it is to make this delicious side and also convince you that just about EVERYTHING is better home-made and you are totally capable of pulling it off!
** On a silly side note. One time I drove into “America’s favorite drive-in” and ordered a burger without onions because I didn’t want to have bad breath. The crazy thing is that I ordered onion rings instead of fries! And I totally didn’t catch the hypocrisy of it until later. (Slaps self on forehead) But to be fair, raw onion and fried onion are not exactly the same! LOL**
