How to Make Restaurant Style Salsa
I have never met anyone that liked salsa as much as my husband. He can go through a jar at one sitting. He also loves to snack on chips and salsa throughout the week, not just when we are having Mexican food for a meal. Due to his love of salsa and due to my family’s obsession with Mexican food in general, I knew that I needed to figure out a good recipe instead of relying on those overpriced jars from the grocery store. Personally, I can’t stand store bought salsa.
The fresh squeezed lime juice and fresh cilantro are what really brings this salsa recipe to life in my opinion. The chopped onion is a MUST as well. I’ve tried to make the salsa with onion powder and dried chopped onion when I was out of “real” onion. It will do in a pinch, but I have to tell you that the flavor won’t be the same. It’s close, but not the real deal. (HA)
I finally figured it out and I’m here to tell you how to make restaurant style salsa that you are sure to LOVE!

- Add all ingredients to your blender.
- Then, blend on high until you reach your desired consistency. We like our salsa smooth and pureed.
how to make your salsa spicier without changing the flavor
- First, you can add fresh jalapeños (For the hottest flavor, keep the seeds in) I would avoid pickled jalapeños unless you are okay with the flavor that the pickling liquid is going to give the salsa.
- Second, you can use HOT Rotel tomatoes instead of mild or original.
