I’m truly not a big breakfast eater, but I do know the importance of this “first meal” of the day! And when I have completely come to my senses after a cup of coffee, some quiet time on my porch, and some exercise, I am then ready to fuel my body. This recipe is so filling and that’s one reason why I really like it. Whenever I have to rush to work and I know that I’m not going to be able to stop for a snack anytime soon, I don’t have to worry if I’ve had these oats for breakfast. I want to show you The Best Overnight Oats Recipe and give you a blueprint that you can customize any way that you like in the future!
overnight oats recipe:
Equipment needed:
Mason jar or glass cup with lid
Pantry items needed:
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 Tablespoon Chia seeds
1 scoop of chocolate protein powder
1 Tablespoon peanut butter
1/4 cup chopped pecans
Fridge items needed:
3/4 cup almond milk
1/2 cup chopped strawberries
overnight oats instructions:
First, pour the oats into a jar or a glass with a lid.
Second, add the chia seeds and protein powder.
Third, place the lid on the container and shake well.
Next, add the almond milk, place the lid back on the container, and shake vigorously.
Then, put the lid on the container and place in the fridge to sit overnight.
The next morning…
Add the peanut butter and chopped pecans and mix well.
Lastly, stir in the chopped strawberries and be careful not to squish them.
Finally, enjoy at home, on the go, or at work!
