How to make the Most Delicious Piña Colada
I don’t drink alcohol but that doesn’t mean that I don’t like the flavor of some of the cocktails that are so prominent at beach-side resorts! When I see the ingredients and know that all of those flavors are amazing together, I don’t want to be left out of the fruity flavored fun of Summer! And there is no reason why I or you should have to be! It’s so simple to make these cocktails without their alcohol counterparts and still enjoy them. Mocktails are my yummy jump into the summer season and something to be celebrated and enjoyed often. They are also easier on the wallet without that super-expensive ingredient and a beverage that the ENTIRE family can indulge in together. Let me show you how to make the most delicious Pina Colada recipe that you are going to LOVE!
the most delicious Piña colada recipe:
Equipment needed:
- Blender (I Love my Ninja!)

Fridge items:
- 4 cups ice
the most delicious Piña colada instructions:
- First, pour the pineapple juice into the blender.
- Second, add the cream of coconut to the pineapple juice.
- Third, add the ice to the blender and blend completely.
- (If you want it to be slushier or more like an Icee, then just add more ice. You just need to be mindful that the more ice you add, the more your drink will get diluted as it melts.)

here’s a little Spanish lesson for ya!
Piña – is the Spanish word for “pineapple” and Colada – is the Spanish word for “strained”.
The special character above the “n” in the word Piña introduces an invisible “y” sound between the “n” and the “a”. So, the word is actually pronounced like this → Peen yah
This special character, which looks like a tiny worm crawling above the letter, is called a “tilde”.
The Spanish “n” is the only letter in the alphabet that can have this unique character above it. Look below at some other Spanish words that also have this character and when you say them out loud, be sure to add that “y” sound.
- Piñata – A container that is decorated, filled with candy, and then broken as part of a celebration. It is commonly associated with Mexico and is hung from above during Christmas or birthday festivities. (Pronounced → Peen yah tah)
- Niña – This is the Spanish word for little girl. (Pronounced → Neen yah)
- Mañana – This is the Spanish word for tomorrow and morning. (Pronounced → Mahn yah nah)
