S’mores Recipe with Halloween Marshmallows
This is one of the SWEETEST treats to make for Halloween, and I’m not just talking about the chocolate. I’m talking about my S’mores Recipe with Halloween Marshmallows. This fun marshmallow recipe is so stinking cute, adding a festive element to this fall favorite with Halloween-themed shapes. They are the perfect treat for little hands and can be customized in many ways!
Sharing is caring!

S’mores are one of the most famous sweet treats of all time, and they are usually made around a campfire in the Fall. When the temperature starts to drop and bonfire season begins, this is the most requested dessert, at least from the kids. (All of mine have a sweet tooth.) And I can see why. What’s not to like? You have simple ingredients like rich chocolate, gooey marshmallow, and the crunch of graham crackers. And this Halloween version takes all of the elements we love about this seasonal dessert to a whole new level!

Even though S’mores are beloved, there is one downside. THEY ARE MESSY! (I think most marshmallow desserts are because they are so sticky.) It loses its appeal when you are outside by a campfire and have sticky hands from melted marshmallows. (I know I’m at least talking to the moms trying to wipe sticky fingers and clean up messes.) But the great thing about this recipe is that there is NO MESS!
You can eat these s’mores with a spoon—I recommend it—and that eliminates the only problem I’ve ever had with eating a s’more! But you could also eat these with your hands and still be protected from the marshmallow and chocolate. The mini graham cracker crust is the barrier that will keep you clean and hold all of that delicious flavor!

You can, of course, use this method of making s’mores all year. You don’t have to be limited to just Halloween. It’s just that PEEPS came out with Halloween marshmallows, which are the cutest things EVER! (I’ve got to find a way to incorporate them into more delicious treats for the kids. But during other times of the year, use regular or mini marshmallows. (Or whatever themed marshmallows are available throughout the year.) You could make seasonally-themed s’mores for the family all year long. What a fun idea!

I didn’t come up with this all on my own. TikTok is a great place to find recipes, treats, crafts, and more! This particular treat comes from @jackyhasfun. The only thing I changed from her version is that I used ROLOs instead of caramel bits. I’m not a big fan of the caramel bits because they don’t seem to melt well. But anyway… her video came across my screen anyway, and I knew I wanted to try these. Truthfully, I think this is probably how I will make s’mores from here on out. It’s just way too easy and less messy. Plus, it’s fun!
Tips for the S’mores Recipe with Halloween Marshmallows:
- If you want your marshmallows to get a little color on the top, turn on the broiler at the end of 10 minutes when they have started to melt. Just make sure that you watch them closely because it doesn’t take long for marshmallows to burn.
