The Best Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Smoked Ham
Okay, let me tell you the truth. I haven’t always been a fan of Brussel sprouts. As a matter of fact, I know one of the exact turning points of my tastebuds on the subject. We took an AMAZING road trip last Fall up to the great lakes and on our way, we stopped at multiple places that we really wanted to visit. One of those places was the Ark in Kentucky.
While we were there, we enjoyed lunch at one of their on-site restaurants and on the menu was a Brussel sprout salad. It was SO DELICIOUS! From that point on, I realized that Brussel sprouts could be amazing and that it totally depended upon the seasonings and cooking method. I don’t know if I will ever be a fan of boiling Brussel sprouts, YUCK, or boiling any vegetable for that matter. That method of cooking imparts absolutely nothing. I think that this recipe might be The Best Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Smoked Ham that I’ve had. I think it’s the only time I’ve ever had it, actually. (HA HA)
But keep an eye out for more recipes with Brussel sprouts. I’ve been experimenting with them ever since I realized that they had POTENTIAL to be AMAZING! (Almost everything does if you know what you are doing)
