A Healthy Start to the New Year!

If you, like many others, are making the decision to focus on your health right now, let me help you out!

Whether you are training with friends for your first half marathon (raises hand), beginning to lift weights to focus on strength (raises hand again), and/or trying to make changes to your diet that are calorie/protein conscious without sacrificing flavor (jumps up and down with both hands raised), you are in the RIGHT PLACE!

How do I find my Macros?

It is important to know what you are aiming for… knowledge is power!

No two people are alike, and no two people will have the same needs as far as diet and exercise go. That’s why it’s so important to find a plan that is designed specifically for you. I’m not a dietician nor am I a personal trainer, but I don’t mind sharing with you what I’ve learned on my health journey thus far! I have navigated losing weight after 3 kids and a hysterectomy. And now, more than ever, I’m concentrating on strength and not just being skinny. Let’s do it together!

A Competitive Spirit

Since I know that movement is one of the best ways to stay on the healthier side of life, I decided to train for my first half marathon. I’m giving you the information that I found helpful as a beginning runner and show you how approachable a lofty goal can be once you break it down into digestible daily habits.

Healthy Recipes

It is extremely important to carry our healthy habits into the kitchen. We can do all of the moving we want, but if we aren’t putting in good, nutritious food for fuel, then we are setting ourselves up for failure. This section of recipes includes serving sizes, macronutrient information, and options for all types of eaters. Whether you are counting calories, carbs, or protein, there is something here for you. And I’ve tried to take all of the guesswork and difficulty out of it for you! (Meal Preps too!)
