New Year’s Eve

Dating all the way back to when I was a child, we always stayed up until midnight and watched the ball drop in New York City on television. There was usually some fireworks involved too! And, of course, by staying up that late, we were bound to be hungry. That is why we always made sandwiches and appetizers beforehand and had our own little New Year’s Eve party in the living room with my family. I continue this tradition with my own kiddos except with a few changes. Instead of watching the ball just drop in New York City, we also watch the spectacular fireworks displays from all over the world! Below, you will find some of our favorite things to snack on while bringing in a new a wonderful year!

Valentine’s Day

In my opinion, Valentine’s Day is all about decadent sweets, cookies, and cakes made of CHOCOLATE! I’m not a big sweet eater myself, but my husband and kiddos are absolutely obsessed!

“Grillin and Chillin”

This holiday beckons us outside to soak up the sun, lay out beside the pool, and fire up the grill. From Burgers, deer wraps, and ribs to smoked sausage and corn on the cob, there is something for everyone in the family to enjoy!

Favorites that never go out of style

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year…”

Other than opening up presents on Christmas morning, I don’t really have any traditions. I do try to make home-made cinnamon rolls or fluffy biscuits with white sausage gravy, which is my husband’s favorite breakfast of all time. But as far as lunch and dinner goes… we do something different every year.
