How to make Tacos with Deer Meat
If you don’t know by now, I’m here to tell you again. I don’t buy any ground beef or typically any steak. My husband loves to hunt, as do my children, and so we have plenty of deer meat in our freezers, enough to last us throughout the year. I’ve met a lot of people that seem intimidated by cooking deer meat, and I always hear the comment, “It’s too gamey for me.” Whenever I hear that, I always think that they’ve probably had deer meat that wasn’t seasoned well or cooked correctly. So, I kind of feel like I’m on a path to help people out! But let’s just start with one recipe at a time. Today, let me show you how to make tacos with deer meat from scratch!
Now, hear me out. There is nothing wrong with using one of those pre-packaged taco seasoning packets, especially if you are in a pinch or in a hurry. But I want to show you how to season your meat without that help from the store. Why? Because there may come a day when you haven’t made it to the store and don’t have that little packet, but your family really wants to eat tacos and there you are feeling stranded. But not anymore! This recipe is not only delicious, but also, so easy that anyone can do it! And you probably have all of these ingredients in your pantry sitting there.
